You’ve inhabited her for so long. Is it hard to let Catelyn go?
[Takes a deep breath] I’ve had three amazing years working on this incredible series, and I’ve completely fallen in love with the character. She is infuriating sometimes [laughs] because she is so honorable. And she does constantly do the right thing. But she’s a driven woman. She’s strong. And that’s what I love about her, is that she’s grown since the death of her husband. She continues to grow. But it’s a growth that she has to do unwillingly because of the circumstances. It’s not about improving herself in an enlightened way. It’s about achieving her goal, which is to get through the suffering and get her children back together. All she wants is to get in, shut the gates of Winterfell, and keep them in there. And that’s not going to happen. And it is very hard, because the people I’ve worked with have become such good friends, the crew and everybody. So it is sad to say good-bye.
This season blows my mind! A lot happens to Sansa and by the end of it she’s totally different. She has to take command because Theon Greyjoy, played by Alfie Allen, who assisted Sansa in her escape from Winterfell at the end of season five, is a shell of the man he was, so this is her realizing that she has to take things into her own hands. Until now, it’s just been about her survival and seeing her family again, but last season broke her, so I think she is gunning for revenge now, too. – Sophie Turner

PRE-GOT + MOTHERS
The women are the strong ones, truly.
Day 1: quote(s)
↳ “Eastwatch is not safe.” The queen put a hand on her daughter’s shoulder. “This is the king’s true heir. Shireen will one day sit the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms. She must be kept from harm, and Eastwatch is where the attack will come. This Nightfort is the place my husband has chosen for our seat, and there we shall abide. ― Jon IX, A Dance with Dragons.
The real tragedy of the book to show conversion is that the sand snakes actually wanted to crown Myrcella, not kill her.
See, Dorne is the only kingdom that treats women as if they’re equals. Women inherit lands and titles there. In fact, Doran actually has a daughter, Arienne, who leads the sand snakes in this plot. Oh, and she’s the crown princess of Dorne. Trystane is such a minor character.
They want to crown Myrcella, because according to Dornish law, she should have rightfully become the next ruler of Westeros instead of Tommen. Their revenge on Kings Landing isn’t to kill another Lannister, it’s literally to create a civil war against patriarchy. To make the Lannisters chose a side.
So by erasing Arienne, and making the sand snakes entire plot revolve around wanting to kill an innocent girl, the show really destroyed one of the best plot lines and kingdoms in the books.
Davos is gonna return to camp and be like “Where’s Shireen? I made that doe she wanted.” and that breaks my heart more than anything fuck this shit
